Hosting Magento since 2008

    Our Story

The website is new. The team behind it is not: our roots in Magento hosting go back to 2008. Here is the full history, including the parts you can verify for yourself.

If you are checking us out before trusting us with your store, good. That is exactly what you should do, and this page exists to make it easy. We relaunched our website and platform in 2026, and our limited company was registered the same year, so at first glance EveryHost can look like a brand-new business. It is not.

    Eighteen Years in the Making

    1. 2008

      SimpleServers is founded

SimpleServers launches as a UK hosting company specialising in Magento, back when Magento 1 was the new name in ecommerce.

    2. 2010

      Simon Bumford joins SimpleServers

Simon Bumford joins SimpleServers as an equal shareholder and director, investing in the company's infrastructure and strengthening the team. SimpleServers grows into a recognised specialist in UK Magento hosting.

    3. 2017

      SimpleServers joins iomart

SimpleServers is acquired by iomart group plc, one of the UK's largest hosting groups. It is the kind of exit that only happens to hosting businesses that are run properly, and it is a matter of public record.

    4. 2017

      EveryHost is created

With SimpleServers part of iomart, EveryHost is created to carry on the specialist work: Magento-only hosting for UK merchants who want engineers on the phone, not ticket queues, running dedicated servers in Tier 3 London data centres.

    5. 2026

      Rebuilt from the ground up

EveryHost incorporates as Raplin Ventures Ltd (company no. 17276917) and rebuilds everything: this website, the platform behind it, the Sentinel security suite and the StormGauge server calculator. If the site looks brand new, that is because it is. The experience behind it is not.

    Human-Powered, On Purpose

Plenty of hosts now put AI in front of their customers and call it support. We have taken the opposite position.

    People answer, people decide

EveryHost support is human-powered: when you open a ticket or phone us, you reach a UK-based engineer with root access to the server your store runs on, not a chatbot.

We do use modern automation and AI where it belongs, behind the scenes. Sentinel watches every server around the clock, our fleet reports its health to our engineers each morning, and StormGauge does the arithmetic when sizing a server. The tools do the watching. People make the decisions.

Trust should not be taken on our word alone, so here is the paper trail:

    Straight Answers

How long has EveryHost been in business?

EveryHost has been trading since 2017. The team's Magento hosting history goes back further: SimpleServers, a UK Magento hosting company founded in 2008, which our founder joined in 2010 as an equal shareholder and director, and which was acquired by iomart group plc in 2017. In 2026 EveryHost incorporated as Raplin Ventures Ltd, company number 17276917, registered in England and Wales.

Why does the EveryHost website look so new?

Because it is. In 2026 we rebuilt the website and the hosting platform behind it from the ground up, and incorporated as a limited company in the same year. The site is new. The people running the servers have been hosting Magento stores since 2010.

    Who owns and runs EveryHost?

EveryHost was founded and is run by Simon Bumford, who has worked in Magento hosting since 2010, when he became an equal shareholder and director of SimpleServers. EveryHost is a trading name of Raplin Ventures Ltd, based at 126 Colmore Row, Birmingham.

Is EveryHost support handled by humans or AI?

Humans. When you open a ticket or phone us you reach a UK-based engineer with root access to the server your store runs on, not a chatbot. We use AI-assisted monitoring behind the scenes, tools like our Sentinel security suite watch every server around the clock, but every decision about your store is made by a person.
